Chua Tee Yong
Chua Tee Yong is a Malaysian politician and is currently the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Labis constituency in the State ofJohor. He is a member of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) party in the governing Barisan Nasional coalition.
Chua was elected to federal Parliament in the 2008 election, succeeding his father Chua Soi Lek in the seat of Labis. In June 2010, he was appointed Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Minister in a Cabinet reshuffle.
Chua is an accountant and was Chief Financial Officer of a government-linked company.
In early July 2012, Chua Tee Yong accused the Selangor state government of an RM1 Billion Talam accounting scandal. Immediately after the expose, however, his claims backfired as the accusation turns out to be grossly false and mis-informed.
