Lam Lee
8km from Yong Peng, Lam Lee was founded in 1950 by the British colonial government of Malaya, as a way to cut off aids from villagers to Malayan Communist Party during the Malayan Emergency between 1948 and 1960. Residents were forcefully moved into this tightly controlled village, which formed the township we know today.
